You search the Entomology lab carefully
for the secret lair of the terrible, unknown beetle.
You find a large, wooden door,
twelve feet to a side,
behind a moldy tapestry.
There is no visible way to open the door.
No handle... No locks... No hinges...
Noises begin to eminate from behind the door
as you move closer to the strange portal.
Rumblings and odd growls echo about the chamber.
You quickly back away from the door and bump into a small table.
A smallish, black box falls clattering to the floor.
You pick it up and examine it...
It is a black box of a material unknown to you.
In the center of the box is a jeweled button.
Beneath that, written in a archaic style, is the word
Genie
Curiosity overcomes you...
If this device really holds a Genie captive,
you could ask it to wish the door open!
With slightly trembling hands,
you push the button!
Suddenly the room reverberates with a humming sound,
accompanied by a clattering, from the doorway.
The wish worked!
The bottom edge of the door begins to rise...
Slowly, the whole thing slides back into the ceiling...
The humming and clanking cease with a clang as the door disappears...
A low growl comes from the inky blankness before you...
Do you
venture
in?
