It moves backwards, faceted eye crystals glinting malevolently.
You see a plaque above the invisible wall:

Some Powers Idea of a Joke

Physical Attributes:

Height: 4 1/2'

Width: 5'

Length: 9'

Weight: 1500 lbs.

Phyllus: Insect

Color: varies, but always metallic

Noted Characteristics:
- Hard, metallic chitinous carapace
- Opaque, glasslike substance about rounded top
- Two non-seeing, crystaline "eyes"
  - Emit charming gaze
  - Harvested crystals act as Eyes of Charming for limited duration
- No apparent need for daily food intake
- Digestive juices disolve all materials, excepting most gems
- Immensely strong
Conclusions:
Creature is likely a joke on the cosmic scale, unfortunately loosed in The Realms. Several sightings of them have been reported across Toril. Since I first discovered the strange insects, I was given the dubious honor of naming them. Veedubbaewe, is the Drowish term for bad humor. Others have begun calling it "The Bug" or just "VW".

Only time will tell what will become of these strange creatures... or of Toril, now that they are here.
